SOLARC ANNOUNCES INDUSTRY EXPERTS TO SPEAK AT ANNUAL ASCENT CONFERENCE
HOUSTON (August 26, 2009) - SolArc , a global provider of enterprise commodity management solutions, today announced the keynote speakers at its annual ASCENT Conference and User Group Meeting to be held Sept. 22-24 at La Torretta Del Lago Resort and Spa in Lake Conroe, Texas, just outside of Houston. In its seventh year, the ASCENT Conference brings together SolArc customers, industry experts and key technology partners from around the world.
David Steele, president of UtiliPoint International, Inc., will lead off the 2009 ASCENT Conference. UtiliPoint is a prominent research and advisory company that focuses on the energy and utility markets. Steele has recently taken the position of president at the firm and will offer his insight about where the industry is headed and opportunities to watch for in the areas of energy, power and commodity trading.
Another valuable keynote will be delivered by Jill Feblowitz, practice director for Business Technology with IDC Energy Insights. Feblowitz has followed the ETRM industry for many years and is the recognized authority in the market, publishing an annual review of vendor functionality. She will speak during lunch on Weds., Sept. 23 and offer insight on the future of the energy trading and risk management industry.
The Industry Expert Panel offers ASCENT attendees the opportunity to hear from a wide variety of recognized authorities in the areas of commodity trading, industry research and technology. The panel will include participants from Microsoft, IDC Energy Insights, UtiliPoint, Opportune, Veson Nautical and others.
