Trading Physical Coal in a Dynamic World Market

Coal White Paper

Over the past several years, global coal markets have begun to reveal clear new fundamentals in coal trading, scheduling, supply chain logistics, and risk management.

Organizations that trade or use coal have had to raise operational standards and must manage business operations more precisely and efficiently. SCoTA quality standards, complex trades, multiple inventory locations, and transportation scheduling are part of the expanding risks associated with trading coal.

Managing the risks associated with critical business functions allows a coal trader to more easily and effectively manage coal supply. SolArc is proud to present this new white paper which addresses the four major operational risks facing coal traders:

  1. Tracking complex trades
  2. Physically tracking coal
  3. Optimizing transportation and freight
  4. Risk management and hedging

The end result reduces operational risk and provides a more accurate view of your business.

This white paper addresses the expanding requirements of coal traders to better understand and quantify their business processes for improved profitability and operational efficiency.
